School of Global Business

Student Activities

Learning takes places outside of the classroom as much as it does in it. And, in the School of Global Business, local and international business leaders will serve as invaluable mentors. With hands-on activities, student groups, and volunteer work, you won’t graduate with just a transcript and a degree—you’ll also have a resume and experience.

Shape the School of Global Business

In the Society for the Advancement of Business Administration (S.A.B.A.), students plan talks with area business leaders, schedule trips to visit employers, and organize social events to bring business students together. SABA members help run all of the activities that students in the School of Global Business do each year.

SABA members received a service award from the Baby Bureau for their outstanding dedication and service to babies.

Learn From Industry Leaders

Every year, a group of students from Arcadia’s School of Global Business participates in Quinnipiac University’s Global Asset Management Education Forum (G.A.M.E. Forum) in New York, N.Y.,  which allows more than 1,000 international college students to gain investment management experience. The forum includes talks on current events in the business world from financial service industry leaders, networking and discussion opportunities for students and executives, and workshops on career strategies and opportunities. More than 110 speakers from 80 companies participate in workshops and panel discussions on the global economy.

Consult for Real Businesses

In the Arcadia University Student Business Consulting Group, students volunteer as consultants for area businesses and nonprofits. Offering assistance in areas from operations to marketing to strategy, student consultants give local businesses and organizations the opportunity to benefit from the fresh perspectives and diverse knowledge that come with being at Arcadia. In turn, students in the BA470 Internship course get to put classroom knowledge into practice and receive credit.
