Second-Year Study Abroad Experience (SYSAE)

Through Arcadia’s Second-Year Study Abroad Experience (SYSAE), you have the option to study abroad with Arcadia during the fall semester of your sophomore year. While earning credit toward your degree, you'll have opportunities to explore new cultures, gain international internship experience, learn outside the classroom, and become part of local communities in which you study.

Take Your Scholarships With You

When you participate in SYSAE, your tuition and housing costs will be the same as your Glenside campus expenses. You can also use your scholarships and financial aid to cover SYSAE costs.

Design Your Experience

Select from hands-on coursework, internships, fieldwork, and independent research options tailored to your areas of interest.

Experience the World

While studying at an Arcadia Center, you'll participate in rigorous educational experiences and global learning opportunities that prepare you for personal and professional success.

Excursions & Activities

Learning outside the classroom takes many shapes and forms. SYSAE students can take advantage of on-site studies and excursions to fascinating places that enhance cultural immersion and give meaningful context to academic courses.

Take the Next Steps

Academically talented students are invited to SYSAE on a rolling basis after being admitted to the University. Selection for SYSAE is based on your application for admission and additional credentials. You will make your SYSAE location selection during your first year on campus, in consultation with your academic and study away adviser.
