Required Credentials for International Transfer Applicants

Below are the credentials that international students seeking to transfer to Arcadia University must submit. 

1. Application Form 

  Common Application  OR Coalition for College Application

2. University/College transcripts 

  • If the College or University is within the US and you have earned 30 credits or more then you should request official transcript(s) from each school attended.
  • If the university/college attended is outside the US and you have earned 30 credits or more then you must also submit a course-by-course transcript evaluation by a (NACES) National Association of Credential Evaluation Services member. Most students use WES.  Students must submit either SAT/ACT or Proof of English language proficiency meeting the following requirements.
    • TOEFL minimum 79iBT (minimum section scores: Reading- 20, Listening- 19, Speaking- 22, Writing- 18). Our TOEFL School Code is 2039.
    • IELTS minimum 6.0 Band Score (no individual section below 5.0)
    • ITEP minimum 4.5 (no section below 4.0)
    • Duolingo minimum 100

Enrollment Management reserves the right to request proof of English Language proficiency of any student applying to the University.

3. The following credentials must also be submitted if you have completed less than 30 Post- Secondary Credits:   

    Official High School Transcripts (in English)/Original or certified true copy of the secondary school record with a literal translation in English performed by a licensed translator and signed in ink. The academic report should include a list of subjects studied, a qualitative rating on a course-by-course basis and an overall rating. 

  • Official copies of the secondary school leaving certificate or diploma earned (if applicable) 
  • Official results of any comprehensive national examinations such as GCE, SSSCE and CXC exams (if applicable).

How to Send Admissions Documents

All credentials, except the NACES College Transcript Evaluation can be scanned and e-mailed to for a preliminary review.

The original, official copies will need to be mailed directly to:

Applications for admission will not be reviewed until all required information has been received by Arcadia’s Office of Enrollment Management. The admission decision will be rendered approximately three to four weeks after the completed file has been received by the admission committee.

Application Deadlines

For most programs, applications are considered at any time during the year; however, to be assured of consideration, students should consult their program of choice for specific deadlines and otherwise use the following deadlines:

  • Fall semester—May 1
  • Spring semester—October 1

For the Fall Semester, applications may be reviewed after May 1, but no later than June 1.
